A film on Ethereum soon in the cinema

Camila Russo announced that his book The Infinite Machinetelling the story of the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain and its founder, Vitalik Buterinwill be adapted into a film:

The writing of the film will be entrusted to Shyam Madiraju and the company Scott Free Productions has joined the production.

This was founded in 1995 by Ridley Scottthe director to whom we owe Alien and Gladiator. More recently, we can also cite Alone on Mars with Matt Damon or The House of Gucci with Lady Gaga.

Ridley Scott’s production company includes 100 Emmy nominations for 22 wins.

This is not the first time that a film project has dealt with cryptocurrency as a subject. For example, an independent documentary on Ethereum is also in production. Nevertheless, this announcement is probably the most ambitious to date and the one capable of reach the most audience.

An adaptation of a bestselling book

The film will be based on the book

The book tells how Vitalik Buterin was able to convince, at the age of 19a whole team to found with him, what is today the second most capitalized cryptocurrency on the market, thanks to the revolutionary technology of smart contracts.

Camila Russo spoke about this adaptation on the big screen:

“It’s incredibly exciting to have Ridley Scott and the team at Scott Free producing the film. […] by our side. I can’t imagine a better team to turn the compelling story of the people behind the most revolutionary technology since the internet into a feature film that will capture the hearts of our generation. »

As the project is still in its infancy, we have no production schedule or casting information to date. But there is no doubt that a film about Ethereum, produced with such a team, could give a huge spotlight on our ecosystem.
