Camoranesi’s departure was planned

Introduced by Idor Tudor as his “right arm” at OM, Mauro Camoranesi has already left the Marseille club, a week after his arrival, and has been replaced by a certain Hari Vukas. On its website, La Provence has detailed behind the scenes of this premature departure.

According to the regional daily, this departure was actually planned. Upon his arrival at OM, Tudor had to compose a staff in an emergency and could not immediately count on Vukas, his first choice, still under contract with the Croatian football federation. Sampaoli’s replacement therefore appealed to Camoranesi, whom he had met at Juventus Turin. The deal was as follows: the 2006 world champion with Italy would take on an assistant role until Vukas’ contract situation was resolved.

This is now done: Hari Vukas took over as OM assistant coach on Monday, while Mauro Camoranesi, who aspires to be number one, has already packed up.
