Crunchyroll partners with Google to drive global anime growth

Google and Crunchyroll announce a multi-year strategic partnership to accelerate and support the anime streaming service’s ambitions globally.

This partnership for Crunchyroll relies on the existing contract between Google and Sony Pictures Entertainment, which plans a collaboration between Android, Google TV and Android TV OS, YouTube, Google advertising solutions and Google Cloud. The leader in anime streaming will work with the Mountain View firm to strengthen its direct-to-consumer business to achieve truly next-level scale, flexibility, and audience experiences.
