Edward Snowden recently tweeted that he was considering buying the “Bitcoin Dip” for the first time since March 2020

This announcement comes after the death of Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX and Alameda Research, which caused a massive drop in the price of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a whole.

The whistleblower also showed his disagreement with centralized exchanges when the FTX empire collapsed, tweeting that “change of custody was a mistake“.

Edward Snowden takes an interest in bitcoin decline again

In his final tweet, Snowden said: “There are still plenty of issues to come, but for the first time in a long time I’m starting to feel the itch to get back to charging.

Before that, Snowden last tweeted about getting into bitcoin long before March 2020, when BTC was trading at $6,900. Here’s what he had to say about BTC at the time:

“This is the first time in a long time that I have wanted to buy bitcoin. This fall was too much panic for two small reasons.

Since then, the price of bitcoin had risen to its all-time high of $68,983.45 before falling to the current price of $16,607.07 at the time of writing.

Edward Snowden continued in his latest tweet saying,

“When most people say ‘this isn’t financial advice’ they’re lying, but it’s actually not financial advice as I have no financial training and no idea what I’m doing.”
