Eager to rearm its offensive sector during this summer transfer window, PSG targeted Hugo Ekitike and Gianluca Scamacca. Regarding the Reims player, Paris wants to quickly complete the operation.
While competition from West Ham risks complicating Paris Saint-Germain’s plans in the Gianluca Scamacca case, the Hugo Ekitike lead is on the right track. Indeed, Newcastle have also been interested since January, but the Stade de Reims center-forward largely gives priority to PSG, a club he ardently wishes to join. The agreement between Hugo Ekitike and Paris SG has already been reached and all that is missing now is the capital club and the Stade de Reims to find an agreement to finalize the deal. While there is little doubt that it will happen before the end of July, it hasn’t yet. And for good reason, L’Equipe reveals in its edition of the day that Luis Campos is careful not to overpay any player. Consequently, PSG’s first offer for Hugo Ekitike was turned down by Stade de Reims.

And for good reason, the reigning French champion offered 25 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses for the Champagne center-forward. A proposal refused by the Stade de Reims, which asked PSG to approach the offer issued by Newcastle. A few days ago, the Magpies offered 35 million euros including bonus for Hugo Ekitike, an offer which Reims accepted but which the player refused, eager to continue his career at Paris Saint-Germain. The player’s entourage has also informed the leaders of Reims that Hugo Ekitike only intends to sign in Paris, a way of putting pressure on the Champagne club so that Jean-Pierre Caillot accepts the offer of Luis Campos. .

As is the case in the Renato Sanches and Gianluca Scamacca cases, the former sports director of Lille does not want to overpay as has been the case in Paris in the past. Nothing says in the state that PSG will therefore increase its offer for Hugo Ekitike. Negotiations are therefore still active, even if for the Champagne player, who multiply the nods to Parisian supporters via social networks, it will be the champions of France and nowhere else during this transfer market. At least Ekitike is clear.
