Monza, Silvio Berlusconi’s club, goes up to Serie A

Five after selling AC Milan, Silvio Berlusconi (85) will return to Serie A at the head of his new club: AC Monza. The president of the 5 Champions Leagues was present at the Arena Garibaldi in Pisa on Sunday, where his heart was strained by the scenario of this final return from the promotion play-offs.

Indeed, Monza conceded a goal after 45 seconds then a second in the 9th minute, before closing the gap, then equalizing in the 78th minute, which was enough for his happiness. But the Lombard club conceded a third goal in stoppage time, allowing Pisa to return to equality over the two games (2-1 for Monza in the first leg, 3-2 for Pisa in the return).

It thus took the extension to decide between the last two contenders for the climb. Monza scored two new goals there to finally win 4-3, with a last goal signed Christian Gytkjaer, author of a double, and obtain the first promotion in its history in Serie A.
