Tesla has delivered nearly 3 million vehicles in 10 years

The American automaker, Tesla, is doing quite well in the global electric vehicle market. Since the company delivered its first car in 2012, Tesla has delivered nearly 3 million electric vehicles over a 10-year period ending in the second quarter of 2022. Based on recent trends and general Tesla guidance, Bloomberg expects the company’s vehicle deliveries to reach a cumulative 3 million by the end of July or sometime in August.

Tesla’s second-quarter 2022 production and shipments report, released earlier this month, shows the company produced 258,580 vehicles and delivered 254,695 vehicles in the second quarter, down from the first quarter of 2022. first half of this year, Tesla delivered 564,000 vehicles, compared to 386,200 in the first half of 2021. June of this year is the highest month for car production in Tesla’s history.

This is achieved by ramping up production at its global Gigafactory and reducing supply shortages. Reportedly, Tesla will announce its second quarter 2022 financial results after the market closes on July 20. It should be mentioned that most of the cars produced by Tesla this year came from the Tesla Shanghai factory. In the past month alone, the Shanghai plant has produced more than 70,000 vehicles. Currently, Tesla’s German factory only produces the Model Y. The company expects this factory to produce the Model 3 in the future. However, there is no certainty that this plant will produce the Model S and Model X.
