The patient benefited from Strovimab, a treatment against Covid-19 according to the High Authority of Health. By July 9, most of the symptoms had subsided. He was able to return to his home, still positive for Covid-19 and monkeypox, while remaining isolated.

The young man told doctors that during his stay in Spain he had unprotected sex with another man. The Journal of Infection scientists warn of the possibility of “co-infection with SARS-Cov-2 and monkeypox, particularly for subjects who have recently traveled to monkeypox epidemic areas”.
