The vaccination calendar introduces new recommendations, this Monday, April 25, 2022.
Developed by the Ministry of Health, after consulting the High Authority for Health (HAS), the vaccination schedule brings together all the recommendations applicable to people residing in France according to their age and issues vaccination recommendations. “general” and vaccination recommendations “particular” specific to specific situations (increased risk of complications, exposure or transmission) or occupational exposures.
An updated calendar
The 2022 vaccination calendar introduces new recommendations: vaccination against meningococcal B is recommended for all infants from 2 months to 2 years of age
Vaccination against whooping cough is recommended for pregnant women from the second trimester of pregnancy, favoring the period between 20 and 36 weeks of amenorrhea (absence of menstruation), in order to increase the transfer of maternal antibodies and to ensure optimal protection of the newborn.
Vaccination against seasonal influenza is recommended for professionals occupationally exposed to swine and avian influenza viruses.
As every year, the vaccination calendar is also updated to include new developments in terms of available vaccines, treatment, or the skills of healthcare professionals involved in vaccination.
