“Very sick”, Mino Raiola is not dead

Considered one of the most influential agents on the football planet, the Italian-Dutch Mino Raiola died on Thursday according to several Italian media, such as the La7 channel, Tuttosport and La Gazzetta dello Sport. The 54-year-old had been ill for several months and had been in hospital several times recently.

An announcement that caused an earthquake in the world of football since Mino Raiola represents some of the most courted footballers in the world, from Paul Pogba to Zlatan Ibrahimovic via Erling Haaland. But while the news was massively relayed by the international press, several serious sources denied the death of Mino Raiola.

Raiola alive, but in very serious condition

Starting with his right arm José Fortes Rodriguez, who assured the Dutch media NOS that Mino Raiola had not died: “He’s in bad shape, but he’s not dead.” A version confirmed by Raiola’s agency and several other serious sources.

“I am outraged by the phone calls from pseudo-journalists who speculate on the life of a man who is fighting to survive”, added Alberto Zangrillo, head of the operational anesthesia and resuscitation unit of San Raffaele, a Milanese hospital, to the Italian news agency ANSA. The latter specifies that Raiola is in a very serious condition.
