Warren Barguil hit in the hip and right shoulder

The days follow each other and are not alike. After narrowly failing for the stage victory on Wednesday on the slopes of Granon (10th), Warren Barguil was unlucky during the 12th stage of the Tour which led yesterday to the top of Alpe d’ Boo.

In the descent of the Col du Télégraphe, more than fifty kilometers from the finish, the Breton from Arkéa-Samsic fell heavily, as did his teammate Maxime Bouet. Both were nevertheless able to complete the stage.

Chest trauma for Bouet

After a first medical consultation on arrival, Barguil, 103rd at almost 29 minutes from Pidcock, presented bruises on a hip and the right shoulder with dermabrasions.

For Bouet, 65th at 24’33” from the winner, the verdict seemed a little more severe with chest trauma on the left side, but also an increase in pain linked to a fall that occurred during the first stages in Denmark. He also had a bruised knee.

Barguil and Bouet should nevertheless be at the start of the 13th stage today in Bourg-d’Oisans.
